Legal framework

RÉSO is a Canadian business. This policy is drafted with regard to the Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Quebec), the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where applicable, other provincial laws.

Main province of operation: Québec, Canada.

Information collected

  • Account information: email address, first and last name, chosen language, account role.
  • Content you create: journal entries (instrument, direction, stop-loss, position size, entry reason, result, notes), no-trade days, avoided trades, trading plan, hypotheses, custom setups and onboarding questionnaire answers.
  • Discipline and state data: pre-trade state sliders (emotion, focus, confidence), closing answers (stop-loss moved, planned or impulsive entry), opening and closing timestamps, compliance and RÉSO Score. This data is used only for your own discipline tracking and the analyses you view.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe. RÉSO keeps a customer identifier, subscription status and trial dates, never the full card number.
  • Broker connection data (optional): if you link a broker account through SnapTrade, a connection identifier and secret are kept in order to read your executions and detect unlogged trades. You can remove this connection at any time.
  • Technical data: session token and language preference kept in your browser, plus the technical logs required to run and secure the service.

Why this information is collected

  • To provide the service and store your journal.
  • To compute your RÉSO Score, consistency and behaviour analyses.
  • To synchronize your broker executions, if you enable that option.
  • To process payments, manage subscriptions and prevent fraud.
  • To answer your support requests and send you service messages (account confirmation, password reset, billing notices).

Consent

By creating an account, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time, subject to RÉSO's legal and contractual obligations and reasonable notice.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses cookies and browser local storage to keep your session alive and remember your language. Details are in the Cookies page.

Disclosure to third parties

Your information is shared only with the providers needed to run the service: Base44 (hosting, database, service emails), Stripe (payments) and SnapTrade (broker connection, if enabled).

RÉSO does not sell or rent your personal information and does not disclose it for advertising purposes.

Disclosure may also occur where required by law or to protect RÉSO's rights.

Transfers outside Canada

Some providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States. In that case the information may be subject to the laws of the country of processing, and RÉSO contractually ensures a comparable level of protection is maintained.

Retention

Your information is kept for as long as your account exists. After the account is closed, it is deleted or anonymized, except for information RÉSO must keep to meet its legal, accounting and tax obligations, namely 30 days.

Security

Each account's data is isolated from other accounts. Access to information is restricted to the people who need it to run the service, and traffic to the site is encrypted.

No system is infallible: if a privacy incident involving a serious risk of harm occurred, RÉSO would notify you as required by law.

Your rights

  • Access the personal information RÉSO holds about you.
  • Have inaccurate or incomplete information corrected.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention obligations.
  • Withdraw your consent to a non-essential use.
  • Request your information in a structured technological format (portability).
  • File a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Privacy officer

To exercise a right or ask a question: privacy officer, RESOPROGRAM, resosupport@gmail.com. RÉSO replies within 30 days of receiving a request.

Automated analyses

Some features (LUTION, assisted reflection) generate analysis text from your journal data. These analyses are produced automatically, are not financial advice and do not result in any automated decision that has a legal effect on you.

Minors

The service is intended for people aged 18 and over. RÉSO does not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes

This policy may be changed. The update date at the top of the page indicates the version in force; any significant change will be flagged inside the service.
